Re-opening

We are delighted to announce that after our enforced closure due to flooding, we will be re-opening on Saturday 31^st May at 5.30pm following a full refurbishment. Caroline Nokes MP will be on hand to do the honours and then the party can start! We will be serving BBQ food in the garden (if the weather is good) and local vocalist Cari Summer will be singing.

What’s New?

We have taken the opportunity to renew and refurbish the pub, revise and rewrite our menu and drinks offering and revitalize our website and Facebook page.Our bar opening and food service times have also been reviewed. We will be offering a new Fixed Price Menu – 2 courses for £10, available lunchtimes Monday to Saturday and all evening Monday to Thursday, and before 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays. People

We are delighted to announce that Trish Allanson is rejoining the team as Assistant Manager with responsibility for Front of House.On a sad note Jack Travers has decided to leave us and move back to London after the Festival season.We wish him the very best and hope he will come back and join us for special events.

Opening Times

We will be opening the bar from 12 noon until 3pm and 5.30 – 11pm Monday to Friday with food served from 12 until 2.30pm and 6 – 9pm.On Saturdays the bar will be open from 12 noon until 12 midnight with food served 12 – 3pm and 6 – 9pm. On Sunday during the summer (May to October) we will open the bar from 12 noon until 10.30pm with food served from 12 – 7pm.In the winter the bar will close at 8pm with food served until 3pm.

Takeaways

The Crown will continue to offer Takeaway fish and chips (now home battered haddock) and curry and rice Mondays to Thursdays. We will also have our special offer on Thursday evenings – Buy one Steak, get the second ½ price.

Guest Ales

Our chosen guest ale for early June is Hedge Hop from Flack Manor.If you have any suggestions for guest ales you would like to taste please let us know.

Soft Drinks

We will be gradually changing some of our soft drinks and including new

ones such as Bottlegreen Elderflower Presse and Orangina.

Free WiFi

Just a reminder! Access to WiFi is available free, via The Cloud, in all areas of the pub.
