Bluebells and showers

Brave the April showers this weekend and head out for a bluebell walk! The New Forest has some of the most stunning bluebell woods - the flowers love the damp, shady conditions of our ancient woodland. See our guide on where to find bluebells locally.

Be amongst the first to take a dip in 2018 in Lymington's famous Sea Water Baths, which reopens on Saturday! There are wetsuits for hire if you don't have your own - and once you're in the water it really doesn't matter if it's raining!

Monday 21 May: learn about head massage at Careys Manor Senspa. Workshop focusing on the head using friction techniques to relieve emotional stress and tension, use of spa facilities afterwards.

Friday 4 May: Mums & Tots Coffee Morning at New Park Manor. This monthly group is a great way to meet other parents whilst your little ones play - all in a fabulous, family-friendly environment.

Very unusually, Lymington Infant School has 6 places for Year R in September. Please spread the word if you know people moving to the area and/or who would have chosen this wonderful school if they’d thought there was the remotest chance of getting in!

Saturday 28 April: Lymington Sea Water Baths reopens for the summer season. Opening times until 29 June: 10am-6pm weekends and bank holidays, 3-6pm on weekdays. Wetsuits available to hire. Learn more about Lymington's open air pool.

Tomorrow: see Zack by the Lymington Players at The Lymington Centre. A light comedy by Harold Brighouse (author of Hobson’s Choice) A few tickets still remaining for Saturday!

Sunday 6 May: Oakhaven Colour Run. Join the paint party! Run, jog or walk 4k through the colour stations that will shower you in clouds of brightly coloured powder paint! Always a great spectacle for participants and spectators!
